Highlights from the Community Council Meeting February 2025
The council received a number of high calibre applications for the current vacancy and are pleased to co-opt and welcome Mrs Tracey Bithell who will join the council in March 2025.
A contractor has been appointed to undertake the improvement works to Penyffordd Bowling Club Car Park.
Improvement works have been undertaken to the external lighting at Penyffordd War Memorial.
The council have committed to adopt a strategic response to the issue of flooding. Further information will follow.
Slight delays with the play area improvements at Dobshill and the Millstone due to weather and sourcing the aggregate.
Lighting will be installed in the telephone kiosk which houses the Vounog/Alyn Drive defib.
The council will write to FCC Highways regarding safety improvements for pedestrians accessing the Train Station.
Community Drop In Events. We have The Ageing Well Engagement Officer attending February and a FCC Officer attending March and April to talk about the 3 weekly bin collections:

The council have written to FCC regarding the 2030 LDP and also Transport for Wales, Transport Minister and FCC regarding a direct bus service to Chester.
Following the suggestion from our Youth Rep, the council will be exploring providing literature bilingually.
