Ring-and-ride Service

There is a service provided by Flintshire County Council to get people to doctors and hospital appointments if they are unable to get there by any other means. More details are available of the Flintshire County Council website here.

Penyffordd Station is on the Borderlines railway which connects Wrexham to Bidston.
This service stops at other local stations including Hawarden, Caergwrle and Hope (for Schools and Doctors).

You can change at Shotton for trains to Holyhead and Chester.
You can change at Bidston for connections to Liverpool.
Chester and Wrexham are on the main rail network for onward connections nationally.
London Euston is 2 hours and 3 minutes from Chester.

The closest airports with scheduled services are Liverpool and Manchester both of which are 40 minutes away (by road) with clear traffic. East Midlands is less than 2 hours away with Leeds / Bradford, Birmingham International and Doncaster Sheffield a little further. Hawarden Airport is privately run by Airbus and there are no scheduled flights, thought there is an active flying school, cafe and private jet and helicopter base.
