Highlights from the Community Council Meeting January 2025
Happy new Year to all our residents
A number of new financial projects approved:
o Penyffordd Bowling Club Car Park
o St Johns Church Preservation
o Penyffordd Community Garden
o War Memorial lighting
o Partial Drainage works at the Youth Club Car Park
o A £4000 grant for the Youth Club building once the community asset transfer is complete
The council has approved the budget and precept for 2025/26. The precept request is £124,611. This equates to the Band D sum of £53.84p per year, which is an increase of £0.02p per year (0.04%).
Due to the resignation of Oliver Thompson, the council has a vacancy to be filled by co-option. If you are interested in joining the council, please contact the Clerk.
Further Community Drop In Events have been confirmed. FCC will also be attending March and April to talk about the 3 weekly bin collections:

The council will continue to lobby FCC regarding the 2030 LDP and also Transport for Wales, Transport Minster and FCC regarding a direct bus service to Chester.
