Road Closure - Hawarden Road

We received this message from Flintshire County Council, Streetscene:

“From Monday 15 June, Hawarden Road in Penyffordd will be closed between its junctions with Crossways and Fammau View Drive for 3 weeks.

 The road closure is required to facilitate service connections for a new housing development.”

We have asked for the closure to limit to a single carriageway but the works are in the centre of the highway and there is not enough space for traffic. Flintshire have assured us that they will be monitoring progress to ensure it does not take any longer than absolutely necessary.

Diversions will be via Rhos Road and the by-pass.
