Redrow Planning Inquiry - in the Legion

The public inquiry by the Planning Inspectorate to hear the appeal by Redrow Homes into the refusal of their planning application for 186 houses off Chester Road, Penyffordd, will be held in the Penyffordd British Legion, from 10:00am on Wednesday 15th November and is expected to last for 3 days.

The public are encouraged to attend and anyone wishing to speak should make themselves known to the inspector at the start of proceedings.

The inquiry is similar to a courtroom but more informal and the agenda is managed by the planning inspector.

If you do want to speak, it is not recommended that individuals repeat the same evidence. The inspectors prefer a spokesperson to represent multiple views. Our Community Councillors will be asking to speak as will the Community Group. It is at the discretion of the inspector who is allowed to speak.

After the end of proceedings, the inspector will deliberate on the evidence heard and make a recommendation to the Welsh Minister, who will make the ultimate decision. We expect this to be announced in the new year.
