Planning - Rhos Road Houses

This is an application for 40 houses on land off Rhos Road, just before the roundabout on the A550. The original outline application was made in 2015. It was recommended for refusal and refused permission by the planning committee but the developer appealed the decision and a Planning Inspector reversed the decision having accepted the proposed drainage solution put forward by the developer. There was no public inquiry.

In August 2017 the developer submitted the detailed plans for the site to satisfy the outstanding conditions and receive full planning permission. Councillors and residents have lobbied hard for the full complement of affordable homes (30% / 12 homes) to be included on the site - the plans show 4 as well as the removal of 3-storey houses which are not in keeping with he village.

It is not yet clear where the application will be determined by Committee or by the planning officer.
