Highlights from the Community Council Meeting October 2024

v  Grant Applications are open until Monday 4th November @ 12 noon, all details of how to apply can be found on our website.

v  The council will be looking at options to assist Penyffordd Lions with maintenance of The Groves football pitch.

v  Community Engagement – Drop In Events to be held in the War Memorial Institute:

v Saturday 2nd November 11am - 2 pm

v Wednesday 4th December 7- 9 pm

v  The council will be preparing and publishing an ‘easy read’ bus timetable and these will be shared on social media, noticeboards and bus stops.

v  Our summer playscheme saw an excellent attendance total of 458 with a glowing report from the Team Leader. We hope that it was thoroughly enjoyed by all and we look forward to supporting the scheme again next year.

v  The WMI will be co-ordinating the Remembrance Day parade and service: 2.30pm parade, 3pm service.

v  The council will be pressing FCC Councillors to commence work on the 2030 LDP.
