Hanson - Kiln Lining Replacement

Dear Residents and Committee Members,

Kiln 4 is currently off for planned maintenance and will be for most of January.

During this period we will be replacing some of the kiln lining and this task entails the use of a Brokk (demolition robot) to remove the bricks. Removal of the bricks has potential to create noise.

Wrecking of the kiln bricks is scheduled to take place from Thursday 5th January to Friday 13th January inclusive and the hours of wrecking will be between 7am and 10pm.

After this intense removal period the Brokk is unlikely to be used again during this stop, however use cannot be completely ruled out.

Should there be any significant change to this plan we will update you further.
