A55 Junction 11 Llys y Gwynt to Junction 36a Broughton

A494 Junction 34 Ewloe to Welsh / English Border

A483 Welsh / English borders north of J7, Rossett to south of A5 Halton Roundabout

 

Proposed Works:   Annual Essential Cyclic Maintenance Work Programme

(Works will include grass cutting / weed treatment / litter collection / drainage cleansing / sweeping / structural maintenance and inspections / highway and vehicle restraint systems inspections / emergency gate maintenance / etc.)

Programme Start Date:               Tuesday 6th April 2021

Programme Completion Date:   Wednesday 28th July 2021

I refer to the above and wish to inform you that the works noted will be undertaken between Tuesday 6th April 2021 and Wednesday 28th July 2021. Please refer to the attached PDF file for further details of the programme.

This could result in a higher than usual level of noise at intervals and I take this opportunity in apologising in advance for any inconvenience incurred.

Traffic along the diversion route will be monitored to identify any issues / additional mitigation measures that may need to be considered.

Emergency Services (Police / Fire / Ambulance)

All traffic (including Emergency Service vehicles) travelling in the area to utilise the appropriate diversion route(s).

Holyhead Port

I would be grateful if you could inform ferry traffic of these proposed closures and advise all vehicles to drive safely along the diversion route.

Additional information

Liaison with Welsh Government Orders Branch regarding Traffic Orders has been undertaken.

Co-ordination with NMWTRA and Local Authority Streetworks Managers regarding all aspects of the works (including suitability of diversion route) will be undertaken.

Full consideration has been given to the impact of the work on road users, residents and work force e.g.  Type of temporary traffic management (Full road closures with local diversions, contra flow, lane closures etc. road space, date of works, time of works, other works etc.)

Information signs will be erected prior to the works advising the travelling public of the closure dates and times.

NMWTRA will distribute a letter to properties alongside the works area informing residents / businesses.

Arrangements be put in place to allow customers/workers to access and leave the properties within the closure.

Co-ordination with Highways England / UK Highways will be undertaken to ensure no other closures are being planned on neighbouring Trunk Road networks.
