Vounog Appeal Information.

Message from Councillor David Williams

Many residents are still approaching me for information on the Vounog public inquiry. To help, I have included below my own representation and the Community councils' case from last year.

Vounog Appeal Response - Penyffordd Community Council

The situation as it stands is that the inquiry has been postponed twice and is now expected to be held early in the new year. We have not yet been given the revised date, so we will let residents know as soon as we have it.

Myself plus other Councillors will be present at the inquiry, but nobody has a divine right to speak and will be invited by the Inspector as the hearing progresses. One thing to bear in mind is that residents have a big part to play in this Inquiry, and I am helping several people who have put representations in and registered requests to attend. I am therefore hopeful that they will be able to speak as this contribution could be key to us winning!

This is a really big matter for the village, so hopefully we will all pull together to get this application refused, and then generate interest in the village to fight for more green barrier on the edges of the village that I have been seeking through the LDP.

I hope this information is helpful to you, and if you would like further information on this, please feel free to email or call me.
