PCSO's in the village - Tuesday 5th October.

On Tuesday October 5th PCSO C3942 Maisie Prytherch and PCSO 3977 Ryan Thomas will be attending the co-op area in Penyffordd with a stall to introduce and try promote a new system that North Wales Police are starting to use. Different police forces are currently using it and it is really working and showing only positive feedback.

It’s called Community Alert System, it’s basically an App that members of the public (anyone) can download and sign up for. You can either sign up yourself or if the PCSO’s take a few details they can sign up for you and send you a link which is easier. It gives your phone notifications of what’s going on in the local area, you can choose the radius of where you want the alerts from i.e just issues happening in Penyffordd or issues from the whole of South Flintshire. They can put updates on it which will be relevant to your area i.e parking issues outside a certain school or speeding on a certain road, ASB in certain areas. Members of the public can also ask questions. They think this will become a great way for the community to come together and also build good relations with the police.

They we will be there between 13:30 and 15:00 pm.

05.10.2021 - PCSO C3942 Maisie Prytherch has confirmed they we will be holding another stall in the same place next month, details tbc.

You can easily access the Community Alert System App online by searching ‘community alert north wales police’ and you can register that way. There’s an app on the app store on mobile phones which is free. You can also send PCSO C3942 Maisie Prytherch your name, email address, mobile number and home address and she can sign you up and you will then receive an email with a link they you accept.
