Information for Parent and Carers
We are able to provide this valuable, universal service because of the support from local town and community councils
We need to work in partnership with families during this challenging time to make sure that summer playscheme will provide a safe and happy experience for children.
All parents and carers will be required to complete this consent form online to pre-register their child/children for 2020
N.B. There is a parent/carer declaration within the form, specifically with regard to COVID 19/
Parent/Carer declaration – I agree that under no circumstances will my child attend the playscheme if they:
Feel unwell, have any of the four identified COVID-19 symptoms (a new continuous cough, a high temperature or loss of taste or smell) or they have tested positive to COVID-19 in the past 7 days
Live in a household with someone who has symptoms of COVID-19 or has tested positive to COVID-19 in the past 14 days.
The majority of our team are returning staff from playscheme 2019. They will have undertaken a full enhanced DBS check and will have completed a full and comprehensive training programme. This Includes: Risk management and health and Safety in the workplace (Including COVID 19 controls) First aid; Child protection and safeguarding; Disability Awareness and the delivery of playwork in compliance with COVID 19 measures
All children attending will have to be pre- registered to attend local playschemes.
In terms of the safe operation of our playschemes we are now in receipt of the guidance from Welsh Government. We will deliver our playschemes in 100% compliance with all of the guidance.
It was noted that the latest Statement from the First Minister regarding changes to restrictions (10/7/20) allows for Larger gatherings of up to 30 people to now be permitted provided they are outdoors where these are organised and supervised by a responsible person for sports and other leisure activities and classes:
Places at playscheme sessions 2020 will be limited to maximum of 28 children per session. Once we have received the forms, our team will contact families with regard to session availability, if oversubscribed. Sessions will be allocated fairly and equitably
