COVID 19 Information from Cllr Williams

1.Temporary closure of Youth club building

To all User Groups

Due to the Covid 19 Emergency and in line with current Government Guidance, we are closing our buildings with immediate effect and until further notice .

In the event of a building being required for emergency cover/critical purposes this will approved by Flintshire County Council’s Chief Officer for Education and Youth, Claire Homard, and the appropriate permissions and risk assessments will be obtained.

With regard to billing, some of you have already informed the Youth Service that you have already stopped using the centres due to the ongoing Coronavirus situation and you’ll be charged up to the date you last used the centre.  For those User Groups I have not heard from, you’ll be charged up to the end of last week Friday 20.03.20.

If you are overcharged, refunds will be issued for all payments received.

Regards

Rachel, on behalf of the Youth Service

2. Additional support during Covid 19

Morning Everyone,

Please find attached postcard which will be helpful for you to distribute to anyone you think may need help during the coming days, weeks even months.

Nanny Biscuit is a safe way of communicating and assisting people, FLVC are supporting and advising. SPOA have the group details and will be advising where appropriate.

Please also feel free to join the Facebook group and help if you can and where you can. The contact details are on the postcard.

This is for everyone in Flintshire, please share.

3. Cancellation of Vounog Hill Inquiry.

The Inquiry on the planning application for Vounog Hill scheduled for 5th April has been cancelled and interested parties will be notified of the new date as soon as it is issued. Many residents should have received notice of this meeting, but given the extraordinary circumstances we are experiencing at the moment, this message is being circulated in case the message about the cancellation does not reach you by post.

I hope this is helpful, but please let me know if you have any queries on this matter.

David Williams
