The take over of the Youth Club site is gaining momentum and the action group have now advertised for tenders for the feasibility study with the assistance of Cadwyn Clwyd and FLVC
The information below provides links for any contractors in the village or anyone villagers may know who may be interested and qualified who are welcome to apply. A group of local residents of Pen-y-ffordd, would like to bring your attention to an invitation to quote that is on Sell2Wales website for a feasibility study of the Youth Centre in the village. The centre is currently the subject of a Community Asset Transfer from Flintshire County Council to the village with the support of FLVC and Cadwyn Clwyd.
The proposed transfer is the aim of a group of our residents who are seeking to preserve and expand on the current building and maximise its use in an ever growing community. The site also incorporates the Scout building which is in a poor state of repair, and the expectation is to provide new accommodation for the group as part of or annexed to the main building, as well as general improvements to the existing amenity.
